Gar turn himself into a Starro the Conqueror - comparable monster to fight off the violent extraterrestrial and actually succeeded . Unfortunately , Amanda Waller sprung into military action and sent her latest weapon , Doctor Hate , to mind - wipe Beast Boy . Now all that remains is Garro , an asteroid - sized monster out to put down Earth .
