Summary
SurrealEstateseason 2 sees The Roman Agency rebrand to The Roman Ireland Agency after 10 episode of emotional ( and paranormal ) upheaval . The show , which returned to SYFY after a tantalizing two - twelvemonth time lag , follows an elite squad of substantial estate specialists who undertake haunted houses known to beam emptor run for the hills . Head honcho Luke Roman ( Tim Rozon ) surrounds himself with a squad of agents who are often more like a class , with his closest associate degree — and the person who take over while he was powerless — being Susan Ireland ( Sarah Levy ) .
Rozon is perhaps best known for his office asDoc Holliday onWynonna Earp , but he also made his cross as Mutt onSchitt ’s Creek . Interestingly enough , Sarah Levy was a fellowSchitt ’s Creekalum and became a fan - ducky as Twyla Sands . The two put their onscreen repertoire to good role once more inSurrealEstate , which was created by George Olson ( First Person Shooter ) . Other phallus of the Roman Ireland Agency include Adam Korson as Phil Orley , Maurice Dean Wint as August Ripley , Savannah Basley as Zooey LEnfant , and Elena Juatco as Lomax .
All the characters that make up the Wynonna Earp family get hopeful endings to their stories as the SyFy supernatural westerly ends after four seasons .
Screen Rantinterviewed Sarah Levy and Tim Rozon about how the scope ofSurrealEstateseason 2was an evolution from time of year 1 , how dialogue is the most challenging aspect of the paranormal show , and what their hopes are for a potential season 3 .
Sarah Levy & Tim Rozon Talk SurrealEstate Season 2
Screen Rant : How hasSurrealEstateevolved in time of year 2 ?
Tim Rozon : So much of time of year 1 was put down the foundation and precede the persona and where they are . And then season 2 , we just pretty much cow chip away and take down everything we set up in time of year 1 and break it up almost immediately . Susan ’s pin down in that house and Luke does n’t have his power , then each team member combat their own demons in add-on to the cases that they ’re working on . There ’s a lot go bad on for season 2 .
What was the biggest variety you saw in terms of Luke and Susan in season 2 ?
Sarah Levy : I think for Susan , the house that she ends up buying is the biggest alteration for her and her sprightliness , and the journeying they take together and how it strike her family relationship with the repose of the squad . It ’s so hard to go into a little detail and not too much detail , but I think it ’s her relationship with the house that has really affected her the most . Tim Rozon : Yeah , and for Luke , he lost his power . I think for the first prison term , he ’s kind of catch to take care inward , and not to botch up too much , but he will handle with component of his past that maybe we heard about in season one that we kind of knew he would take to handle with . And I think maybe give his powers and just position himself into work so much in season one , he did n’t need to deal with it , but now because he has the time , he kind of plenty with some of his unfinished business enterprise and finishes that business .
SurrealEstateis steeped in the paranormal . When each of you boarded the show , how did you prepare , free-base on prior labor you ’ve done ?
Sarah Levy : This was my first intro to sci - fi , which was one of the biggest reasons why it drew me in the first place because it was a sci - fi show . The pilot , which was all we obviously had to go on , still felt incredibly ground and character - driven and had this very variety of spectacular turn that I had n’t had the opportunity to do in the past . This was my first maraud into it , and I think as each episode continued to unfold , we were able-bodied to explore more and more with the orbit of emotion and exploration into all of the thing that a sci - fi musical style offers . Tim Rozon : I was a footling more rosy I had been on a duet of sci - fi shows before and I literally came off of one calledWynonna Earpand went into SurrealEstate . Saying that though , they ’re also different . Nothing has been as rewarding as SurrealEstate , to be honest , as an actor – just because of the amount of things you get to do . This show , it ’s not one thing . It ’s not a drama . It ’s not a clowning . It ’s catch small bits of everything within each sequence . So to get to do all those things , plus I knew going in sci - fi , you get to do merriment poppycock . It ’s just being chased by tennis testicle , and you ’d see the monster when you see it on idiot box , but on set , we ’re you sleep with , like lawn tennis balls and grip advertize balls , and it ’s crack fun .
What was the large challenge as far as the fashioning ofSurrealEstate ?
Tim Rozon : Dialogue . Season 1 , I remember when we were doing interviews for season 1 , that ’s all I used to say . “ Oh , it ’s so arduous to dialog . ” I fought with so much dialogue . I ’m not used to run these characters that talk so much . But now I understand how George Olson make , so I attend forward to monologue and talks . Sarah Levy : Yeah , the dialogue definitely . Especially in the first season , when you ’re just starting to get used to the word that are coming out of your mouth , and half of it you ’re like , “ What does this mean ? ” And you ’re on a race against meter because the sun is going down and you ’re like , I have to get this out . That one for sure . Also , just being capable to see what the terminal vision is with all these monsters and sci - fi hooey . You ’re like , “ How frightened am I supposed to be ? Is this really terrific ? Are we used to this ? ” Our director would have to kind of spell it out for us and like , this is what you ’re going to be seeing . It ’s a ghost that fly . It has recollective nail . You really have to find the imagination to be as scared sometimes as you need to be .
Has there been any discussion for season 3 ? And if so , where would you care to see Luke and Susan go ?
Tim Rozon : I have n’t heard anything if there is or not . I mean , I feel very rosy that we ’ve got to severalise the stories we did and I would love to evidence more , that ’s for sure . And I consider where we kind of leave it is I ’m excited . I mean , this is the first time the two of them are on the same Thomas Nelson Page 100 % and kind of both on their A biz . It makes me nervous too , because it makes me question what they ’re going to bring at us as the big badness if we ’re so grounded going into time of year 3 , and we ’re bringing our A game . Because we are normally the underdog and now we ’re kind of like the top dog . permit ’s see what we ’re up against . Sarah Levy : Yeah , I desire to see us all going all - for - one next season and really fighting the same struggle on the whole as a unit . That is my Leslie Townes Hope if we get a third season . I want to do it together .
