Summary

One of the characters that DC has struggled the most with finding a space for isRed Hood , but that ’s about to change with an all - young solo serial centre around Jason Todd . The fateful sheep of the Bat - Family , Red Hood has been a hero , a villain , and an anti - wedge , but DC has n’t really found good footing for him anywhere . It seems DC is once again trying to allow Jason branch out on his own , as DC Comics ' late solicitations promise that Red Hood will be get his own part of Gotham City with his own supporting plaster cast .

Gotham City is a big place and the Bat - Family tend to divide up the field they patrol , with characters like Batgirl persist near Burnside and Robin mostly taking charge of the suburban area . While DC once tried to give Jason the area have intercourse as the Hill , it did n’t really nonplus , but it seems the publisher revisit this estimation once again .

Red Hood : The Hill#1 by Shawn Martinbrough and Sanford Greene promises to give Jason his very own part of Gotham City along with a young support cast , something he has urgently needed for several days now .

Red Hood Is Returning To The Hill

This is n’t the first time that Jason has gone to the Hill . He in the first place stopped there towards the goal ofRed Hood and the Outlawsand was mainly there during the event ofThe Joker War . This did n’t last for long as he was then pulled intoTask Force Z , andhe did n’t really get to do anything in the Hill of actual importance . Now that he ’s finished hunt the Joker andBatman has forced his no kill rule on Red Hood , it ’s obvious that Jason no longer has any reason to hang around the Bat - Family . So , he ’s in the end moving on to a different part of the city to start over by himself .

Jason has had the most varied career of anyone in the Bat - Family simply due to the fact DC does n’t know what to do with him . Jason is a appendage of a vigilante mathematical group that is stanchly against killing , and yet Jason ’s total character revolves around how he does n’t mind using lethal force play . This has created a disconnect between him and the rest of the Bat - Family that DC has n’t been able to reconcile . writer have test fixing this , such as the timeRed Hood quit using guns , but changing Jason ’s reference to fit somewhere he does n’t belong was never the answer . This is why it seems DC has finally decided to go in a different direction . Instead of trying to fit Jason somewhere he does n’t belong , DC is taking him somewhere he might flourish , in the criminal offence - ridden part of Gotham known as the Hill .

Red Hood Is Starting A New Chapter In His Life

Red Hood is one of the dependable characters that DC has . Jason is someone who once idolized Batman and tried his best to be his example , only to eventually become disillusioned and arguably abandon by Batman . Red Hood has had to fake his own thought of being a zep , as living by Batman ’s rules only served to get him killed . This makes him an awing choice to Batman and the Bat - Family , and hopefully his new series will allowRed Hoodto at long last step out of the shadow of the Bat .
